As you have noticed, I haven't been blogging much lately, but I have been very busy in the world outside of my computer. We moved in our new house 1,5 weeks ago and we really enjoy living in there. But of course there is still a lot to do with a garden and decorating etc.
Even though I love writing, I want to (and need to) focus on other things in my life now. I have also notice that it is still nicer to call or visit a friend and discuss about life than publish your own thoughts online.

Long and relaxing weekend
I spend last weekend and Easter by relaxing with my lovely friends and family, reading magazines, eating good food (and candies of course) and enjoying sunny days.
This lovely bouquet of flowers I got, really brightens up my mood every time I see it.

They are building our basement!
I got a few pictures from our basement supplier (Potius) about the building process of our concrete wall elements. By the way, isn't that great service or what! At least we have been very pleased with this supplier.
I can't wait until the basement is ready. Let's hope the time flies like they say.

Our own small piece of land
Yippee! Finally there's something happening here with our small piece of land. Our very first goal was to cut down trees and the next step was to begin clean up. Then the excavators were welcome.

Regarding a comment I got from one of my readers. I decided I should start watermarking.
Adding a visible watermark is a common way of identifying images. If the photographer places a watermark on the images, people will be less likely to pass it on to others, or to post it to their own blog without a permission.

Baby's 1st birthday party
A baby's first birthday is always something special. It is a celebration not only for your child, but for your family.
We were celebrating our baby's first birthday a few weeks ago. I must admit that because of a lack of time I purchased almost all the cakes from the bakery. Only cake decorating is made by me. That way it was easy to relax and enjoy the birthday party.
Serving: chocolate cake, shrimp and spinach pie, sandwich cake and berry curd cake topped with sugarpaste.

Dog photography
I did all kind of fun things during November which was my last month of maternity leave. One of the highlights in November was when we went to the Dog photography studio with my miniature dachshund.
I have been feeling that I cannot give enough attention for our lovely dog because our son is only one year old now. So it was very nice to spend some quality time with my dog for a change.
And look at all these lovely photos! I highly recommend their services!

Winter comes
Winter is coming! As the first snowflakes fell in my hometown about a week ago, I realized that it is time to create some winter feeling in our home also.
I created a warm and cozy feeling in our home by candles, smell of warm, freshly made pancake and with our new design lamp.
I was finally able to get my own Double Bubble lamp (all thanks to my dear friend).
Now it is time to enjoy the beginning of winter and warm pancake with berries.

Busy autumn
Autumn, so far, has been quite hectic for me. We moved into the temporary apartment and will be living here until our new house is ready. We are so excited about our building project that we spent a day in Finnish Housing Fair and picked up some ideas for new home.

Summer day trip
Yesterday our whole family spent a nice and sunny day in Porvoo.
After all, an easy evening snack options that does not require too much work and effort: strawberry cake or shrimp salad.

Visiting some of my friends!
Last week I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with my dear friends.
I spend a day at my friend's lake house. Time went by so fast, when we did some outdoors and we were able to eat outside near the lake.
I also invited some of our friends to visit us at our home. Even though we are in the middle of moving, I managed to serve some chanterelle bacon pie and ground beef and rice pie to our guests.

At the end of the week, we were celebrating the wedding of my dear friend and I was honored to perform the first dance song for them which was Fly Me to the Moon. What a great end to a wonderful week!

Let the summer begin!
Over the past few weeks I've
been feeling like the summer is starting. My weekends have mainly been spent by
attending different types of summer parties, for example weddings, naming celebration
and graduation parties.
Last Friday, I decided just
to relax and enjoy fresh strawberries with whipped cream. It is the best summer
delight ever!
